It’s rare to see a JDM classic so fresh and mint that you’ll be hard-pressed to believe it’s a MY 1993 sedan. This Nissan president JS is exactly what it’s all about. It has only 32,000 kilometers (20,000 mi) on the odometer.
The 1993 Nissan President JS executive limousine is the shorter wheelbase version. It was designed to compete with other flagships such as the Honda Legend or Toyota Century. The 1989 relaunch of the Lexus brand in America led to a new generation of rear-wheel-drive sedans. The Nissan President is nearly identical to the Infiniti K45 but with a different front- and rear fascia.
The President nameplate was known for catering to the needs and wants of the Japanese executive class. It has been used by businessmen as well as government officials. Luxury and opulence are expected from the car, and this 25-year-old imported example shows it.
This car’s engine bay is a unique feature. It’s amazing that all the parts under the hood look almost brand new, even the 4.5-liter V8. This is surprising given the car was built in 1993. This car has been in the garage for so long. It is about time that it picks up the pace.
