One transmission, one engine
The 2022 Honda Civic Si was unveiled last month. It features a slightly modified 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The affordable, sporty car has several other upgrades that should improve its performance. Honda just announced pricing details for the new Civic Si. They will be available at dealers later in the year.
The Si trim starts at $27,300 MSRP, excluding the $1,015 destination fee. You can also choose performance summer tires to improve traction and handling, at a cost of $200 Only one engine option is available and only one manual six-speed transmission is available. Standard equipment includes a limited slip differential and sport-tuned suspension.

Although the Civic Si is less powerful than its predecessor, Honda claims that the wider power curves will make the sedan more sporty in everyday driving conditions. The turbo four-cylinder turbo delivers its peak torque 300 more quickly than the previous generation. It also retains more power between 6,500 and 6,500 rpm. The new single-mass flywheel, which is lighter and more responsive than the previous generation, should give a quicker throttle response.
The six-speed manual gearbox has 10-percent quicker gear changes, and it also features a rev matching system sourced from Civic Type R.
A completely retuned suspension is another mechanical improvement for the new Si. The suspension now has stiffer springs and stiffer dampers. It also features thicker anti-roll bars. Honda claims that the steering system has undergone significant improvements, which should result in a better feeling of steering.
