2023 Subaru Solterra Starts At $46,220, Top Trim Is $53,220

Subaru’s first EV is exclusively equipped with all-wheel drive. It produces 215 horsepower.

The price of the 2023 Subaru Solterra Electric Vehicle will be $46,220, after the $1,225 destination charge. It will begin arriving in showrooms later this year. This model is eligible to receive the $7,500 federal credit.

The Solterra comes in three trim levels: Limited, Premium, and Touring. Below is a table that shows their prices.

The total system output of the Solterra’s two motors is 215 horsepower (161 kilowatts), and 248 poundfeet (336 Newton meters) torque. The Subaru comes exclusively with all-wheel drive, unlike the Toyota bZ4X. You can choose between Snow/Dirt or Deep Snow/Mud modes.

The Solterra has a 71.4-kilowatt hour battery pack. Subaru estimates that the range is 228 miles (367 km). Recovering 80 percent of the battery’s capacity can be done in less than an hour using a DC fast charger.

There are five color options for the Solterra. Harbor Mist Gray Pearl and Elemental Red Pearl are available in five colors. The exterior paint price is $395. $890 for two-tone options for the top-of-the-line Touring trim. Galactic Black is an option that is free of charge and is not available in two-tone. As a single hue, Smoked Carbon costs $495 and as a 2-tone, it is free.

Subaru EyeSight driver assistance suite is available on the Solterra. This tech includes emergency steering assistance, intersection collision avoidance, brake assist, precollision brake aid, lane departure prevention and dynamic radar cruise controller with lane-tracing assistant.

Premium grade includes a 7-inch LCD gauge display, and an 8-inch touchscreen. This supports wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless Android Auto. Automatic climate control is also available. There are five USB ports in the cabin, including two USB C charging connectors for rear-seat passengers.

The Limited grade features an exterior with LED fog light and a roof spoiler that has a split design. The Premium’s 18-inch tires are not suitable for this vehicle. It is instead ridden on 20-inch wheels.

The Limited’s interior features a 12.3 inch infotainment screen and a wireless charging pad. A 360-degree camera system provides overhead views that can be used to assist in tight maneuvers. Additional features include parking assist with brake support and rear cross-traffic alarm.

The Limited features a 10-way power driver’s chair and a heated steering column for extra comfort. The standard system is replaced by a Harman Kardon stereo. The hatchback is powered by electricity.

The Touring includes all the features of the Limited, plus some additional ones. A panoramic moonroof is available with a power sunshade. The front seats have ventilated seating. A digital rearview mirror is available. The front and rear footwells are illuminated by LED lighting.

Subaru is currently working with Solterra reservation holders to offer them the option of an EVgo Charging credit or money towards the purchase of and installation of a QMerit level 2 home charger.
