The Bronco versus Wrangler rivalry heats up.
For months, the Blue Oval has been plagued by quality issues with the hardtop roof of the new Ford Bronco. Jim Morrison, Jeep’s North American boss, made it a point to poke fun at rival automaker’s problems during a conversation with .
“It’s going rain on Saturday, so it won’t be any Broncos there this weekend,” Morrison stated to point out the rival’s roof issue while riding in a Wrangler4xe with a Detroit News reporter.
Morrison spoke briefly about why the Wrangler is still so popular, after all the years it has been on the market and the CJ models. He said, “It’s the love that each customer has for the brand and the community. That is quite frankly what rivals can’t replicate.” It’s the 3 million Wrangler customers. Maybe we have a problem in 80 years. However, I believe our customers will continue to be passionate about Jeep.
The Bronco is the Bronco’s first real competitor in years. Jeep is adding lots of equipment to the Wrangler. After which had more equipment on the Rubicon, the Wrangler Unlimited Willys Xtreme Recon now has 35-inch tires and a 1.5 inch suspension lift.
For those who prefer a brighter offroader, Jeep introduced the Tuscadero Pink exterior color. The Gorilla Glass windshield was also available.
Jeep is also paying attention recently launched Wrangler4xe plug-in hybrid. The 2.0-inch suspension lift kit includes new springs and Fox shocks, front and back stabilizer links, as well as front and rear bump stops. The vehicle also comes with a Jeep-branded, 240-volt wall charger.
