“Frank Williams called my house this morning to say hello,” wrote the Colombian who made his formula 1 debut in 2001 for Sir Williams’ British team.

After switching to NASCAR in 2006, Montoya is now 33 and racing in NASCAR after a turbulent second season with McLaren.

Williams was the one he recalled fondly from formula one.
