GMC Unveils Sketch Of Overlanding SUV

It’s only…

GMC has begun preparations for the debut of the 2022 Sierra, which is set for October 21 . Although the truck will be updated with minor improvements, it is not as exciting as a new product. The automaker revealed the Canyon AT4 OSRLANDX concept in August, hinting at off-road upgrades for this small truck. GMC was planning an even more extreme offroader in 2018, according to reports.

Motor1.com is a frequent reader. You’ve likely noticed that we share design sketches of General Motors models that never became reality. These sketches are from an Instagram account where GM uploads very interesting sketches from different brands. This cool GMC-branded SUV overlanding is one of the most recent projects.

The concept is not based on any GMC models, as we can see from the one sketch. It is much more refined than the Terrain or Acadia in terms of design, and even the Yukon. It appears smaller than these vehicles.

This is a sketch and not a prototype. We don’t believe that there has been any actual construction of the prototype, or even a clay model. The sketch shows the car with large wheels and a striking grille at the front. It also features futuristic-looking side reflectors. We love the matching roof rack to the overall design of this crossover.

This sketch is certainly cool but GMC seems to be more busy getting the Hummer-EV ready for production. We saw the electric truck being tested in Detroit and then had the opportunity to see it. It’s crazy, but it’s a different way than the overlanding SUV concept.
