The 2019 Acura ILX is a Refreshed Look.

Acura has also updated the infotainment system in order to make it more responsive.

Acura will unveil a surprise update for the 2019 ILX. There are no spy shots nor teasers to show the new sedan’s arrival. It will go on sale in October. AcuraWatch’s driver assistance tech suite, which includes collision mitigation braking and forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise controller, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, and lane keep aid, is now standard.

The 2019 ILX has a front that is more in line with the modern Acuras. It features a large pentagonal grille and a big badge in its center. The brand’s Jewel Eye LED headlights now have seven elements, instead of the five previously. A revised front fascia has sharper lines. At the back, the more angular look continues where the taillights come to a point. A simulated diffuser gives the rear fascia a sportier appearance. Acura also adds five new exterior colors: Platinum White Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic, and the A-Spec-trim-exclusive Apex Blue Pearl.

Acura claims the updated ILX has a dual-screen infotainment screen that is responsive and intuitive. According to Acura, the result is a user interface that is 30% faster. All customers receive reshaped seats with standard power-adjustable driver’s lumbar support. The dashboard has a new silver-finish trim and chrome accents. The options list now includes an Espresso brown upholstery option. Additionally, the A-Spec package is available in Ebony and Red with Ultrasuede inserts for the chairs.

The powertrain is unchanged, so the ILX has a 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder producing 201 horsepower. It can still be connected to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
