Michigan 2018 GMC Terrain spying

The redesign of the crossover will be revealed later in the year or early next.

It’s not surprising that the GMC Terrain was first introduced almost seven years ago.

The 2018 Terrain was spotted at Milford Proving Grounds. It is heavily camouflaged, but it looks much more sleeker than its predecessor. The styling details of the 2018 Terrain are difficult to see, but it has a prominent grille and a sweeping, upward-facing beltline as well as a spoiler mounted at the tailgate. To make space for the 2017 Acadia, which is 7.2 inches shorter than its predecessor, the Terrain will likely be smaller than its predecessor.

The Terrain will be available with either a turbocharged 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine producing 160 horsepower and 184 pounds-feet torque, or a naturally aspirated 2.5 liter four-cylinder with 197 horsepower and 192 lb.ft. It will likely be linked to a six speed automatic transmission, which can be paired with an optional all-wheel-drive system.

The GMC Terrain 2018 is expected to be revealed at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, or the 2016 North American International Auto Show. The model will go on sale next summer, regardless of where it debuts.
