Vauxhall and Opel have released images of their new entry-level cars, which will go on sale in mid-2015.
It will be available next year under the Opel Karl or Vauxhall Viva, and is expected to serve as an entry-level model that’s cheaper than the Adam. The starting price for the car is PS7,500 (EUR9 500). It measures 3680mm in length and will come with several alloy wheels sets, ranging from 14 to 16 inches.
Customers can choose from 10 exterior colors while the interior cabin may include heated front seats, steering wheel, sunroof and cruise control. Park assist, park assistance, and lane departure warning are all options. The IntelliLink infotainment and steering systems have a city mode that reduces driver effort.
The engine will be a three-cylinder, 1.0-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline engine that produces 75 HP (55kW). It will be delivered to the front wheels via a manual five-speed gearbox. Opel and Vauxhall claim that the chassis has been modified to ensure “exceptional safety, comfort and security.” Both cars are equipped with traction control and hill start assist as well as electronic stability control.
