The refreshed X6 was parked just off the side of the road.
Spy photographers captured the BMW X6 refreshed parked at the side of the road. They had a great opportunity to capture photos of the new crossover at this location.
The major changes to the X6 are in the front. The headlights are now slimmer and the lamps inside them are different. Camouflage was used by the development team to conceal the lower fascia. The camouflage covering the lower fascia suggests there may be tweaks. The kidney grilles do not appear to have any alterations.
This X6’s back panel covers the lower fascia, concealing the production version’s design. The exhaust design features a pair dual pipes, each with a center divider.
Although not apparent in these photos, images from earlier photos show that the X6 will be receiving major cabin changes (below) . BMW is currently testing them using a pair new screens. They will be able to run the iDrive 8 software. These development vehicles’ boxesy displays are not ready for production. The center console has been modified to include the removal of the high gearshift in favour of a smaller rocker control.
We don’t know anything about any powertrain changes. However, we don’t know if BMW will make any major changes to the X6 engines.
It is unknown when the refreshed crossover will debut. It is still unknown if BMW will launch the updated HTML5 and the X6 simultaneously. If they do this, we should see both the X5 and X6 premieres in 2022. If the company does not do this, then the X5 will likely be first and the X6 might come a little later.
This rendering takes information from spy photos and shows how the updated X6 could look after the camouflage is removed. Redesigned lower fascias and headlights are the major changes. These changes aren’t groundbreaking and will only be noticed by those who are familiar with the vehicle.
