Also available in body kit
At the 2006 SEMA Show, Ford asked Chip Foose to create the Ford F-150. 3dCarbon was contracted to make the body kit of the 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition. It is limited to 1,500 units. Foose F-150 will be available for purchase in the first quarter of next year. 3dCarbon will soon begin selling a separate, bolt-on Foose F150 kit. SEMA voted the Ford F-150 as the most accessory-friendly pick-up.
The 8-piece kit includes a front air dam, 3 piece side skirts, and a lower rear ski. This kit will fit any F-150 from ’06 to ’08 and will make your car appear lower than it is. Chip Foose says, “The vehicle’s posture and the proportions of the wheels to the body are the key to creating the illusion that it is lower than it actually is.”
The Ford F-150 FX2 is the basis of the show car. It has the 3dCarbon bodykit, but also an intercooled and supercharged Triton engine producing 450 horsepower and 500 pounds/foot torque. There are several suspension modifications and a Ford Racing exhaust. The 22-inch Foose wheels are fitted with P275/45R22 tyres and a Foose leather interior.
