To build suspense, a teaser video was released ahead of tomorrow’s reveal.
The number of articles that we’ve posted in the past few months has been hard to keep track of, but the good news? It’s finally over. Well, almost. The wraps for the next-generation will be unveiled at an Amsterdam event on February 2, prior to the public debut of the compact hatchback at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
Mercedes has released another teaser image to ease the wait for next week. This teaser image is much more transparent as the camouflage has been lifted. It also allows us to see the front fascia of the hatchback, which instantly reminds us of the CLS. The teaser actually looks very similar to the one Mercedes used for the CLS (pictured on the right).. It’s up to you whether that’s a good thing or not, but we like the teaser so far.
We have a good idea of what the new A-Class will look like from the outside. The spy shots give us an accurate picture. Mercedes already has the complete interior reveal of the new cabin that will pave the way to the company’s new MBUX interface. The high-spec infotainment system will feature a pair 10.25-inch digital screens. It will eventually be installed in all compact cars of the A- and B–Class families.
The dashboard is undergoing major changes. Additionally, the cabin will be modified to make more space for passengers and their luggage. The fourth-generation A-Class will compete against the new BMW 1 Series. It will be riding on an evolution from the MFA platform. There is already been confirmation that the A35 version will produce a hot A35 version with approximately 300 horsepower.
In just seven days, we will have all details and photos.
