These photos are very similar to spy shots of the camouflaged MDX. The new model has center caps on the wheels and Acura’s A shape emblem appears to be underneath the tape. The crossover is also equipped with an Ohio license plate. This is a clue because the automaker has a Marysville development center. The MDX was also built in Ohio by the company as of 2017.

Although the MDX is camouflaged, a leaked from the company’s software suite reveals the new crossover clearly. The exterior design is more streamlined than the current, and the front ends appear longer. The rear fenders are accented by a more prominent crease.

The new MDX will also have other details that remain a mystery. According to rumors, the crossover will be offered in a Type S performance-oriented version with a turbocharged engine V6 and all-wheel-drive.

Information about interior changes is also not available. It’s not surprising that Acura will fit the new MDX with large infotainment screens and a digital instrument panel, considering the competition in premium crossovers.

The next-generation MDX will be available for the model year 2021, following a minor update for 2019. This implies that the next-gen MDX will arrive sometime in 2020 or possibly the first half.
