The Best-Selling Automobiles by Country

Toyota is the most popular brand in Latin America, Asia and Africa. Volkswagen is dominant in most European markets. Ford, on the other hand, is the most well-known brand in the United States and Canada.

You’ll see that most countries of the Old continent are patriotic when it comes to their favorite car brands. France’s most popular marque is Renault. Spain’s best-seller SEAT is the number one seller. Italy is a fan of Fiats and Germany, obviously, is favoring Volkswagen. The Dacia, which is affordable, takes first place in four countries: Romania, Bulgaria and Macedonia.

Another interesting fact is that Mercedes-Benz has the only premium manufacturer to win a sales crown. The German automaker is Turkmenistan’s best-selling brand. Interesting is also the fact Wuling is China’s most popular marque, while Iran is controlled by Saipa Pride.

Notable are also South Korean manufacturers. Russia’s top-selling brand is Hyundai. In Ukraine, Syria, Israel and Panama, Kia dominates the charts.
