Ford Mustang, celebrating its 45th year anniversary and responding to customer requests for more natural light, now offers a third option: a factory-fitted glass roof. The Ford Mustang will offer a brighter American muscle car starting next summer. Ford claims that the sunroof is a great option for upgrading from a coupe to a convertible and the increased commutes of its customers makes it incredibly popular.

Tinted privacy glass is used to protect the cabin materials from discoloration caused by solar light. A manual roller blind can be added to control light intensity. A layer of vinyl helps reduce noise, and the glass shatters without jagged edges.

Ford is keen to emphasize their commitment to customers and has refreshed the Mustang for the next model year. JD Power’s research found that almost two-thirds of sports car buyers want a sunroof/moonroof on their next vehicle. This makes the Mustang’s panoramic glass roof an important addition.

Two additional models will join the glass roof option, the 315 horsepower Mustang Bullitt, and the Shelby GT500KR special edition, which are expected to produce 540 horsepower from a 5.4-litre supercharged engine.
