Ferrari P80/C Looks Awesome During Goodwood Hill Climb

It took four years to make it and finally, it made its public debut.

It made its public debut at the 2019 Goodwood FoS The Ferrari P80/C This is undoubtedly one of the most unique Ferrari one-offs. Engineers and designers used a real 488 GT3 racecar to produce the prototype. This allowed them to make more adjustments to optimize performance and beautiful looks without worrying about homologation or legalities.

Finally, the video gives us a glimpse of the P80/C’s performance and audio experience as it makes its way along the 1.16 mile hillclimb course. The P80/C was shaped by extensive aerodynamic data over the years. A base of the 488 GT3 aero served as the basis, and then the rear diffuser and front splitter were completely reworked. The result was a five percent increase of efficiency. There were also unique exterior bits and a carbon fiber body. The unique T-wing treatment in the engine bay was inspired by Scuderia Formula 1. It reduces the airflow to the rear and increases downforce. You’ll notice a forward-oriented cabin with concave rear windows and no taillights.

In homage to the Dino, 250 LM and other flying buttresses, the car’s width is narrowest at the front, narrowing slightly at the rear, and then widening at the front. When the rear is set up in race trim, it features a carbon-fiber wing and 18-inch wheels. An exhibition package allows you remove the large wings and attach 21-inch wheels.

The engine that sits beneath the aluminum louvers, a 3.9-liter twin turbo V8 is most likely the same one found in the 488 GT3. It is most likely unrestricted, which allows it to reach 660 horsepower. Although no performance numbers have been released as of yet, we can all agree that Ferrari created a remarkable masterpiece in only four years. We wonder what else they could be creating.
