Alfa Romeo Montreal gets a stunning modern makeover in new renderings

It is absolutely stunning.

The Alfa Romeo Montreal was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1970. It was actually a concept car that appeared at an event in Montreal in 1967. It was not named so people called it Montreal. When Alfa Romeo built it, you’ll get the idea.

It was fifty years ago. Although the coupe’s sleek 2+2 design would see a seven year production run, Pedro Ruperto created a modern interpretation of the classic design to commemorate the car’s debut. This is a stunning redesign of the Montreal original design.

This design was not a mere flight of fancy. According to the post at Behance.net This modern Montreal was created to answer an Instagram challenge by Alfa Romeo. This interpretation was reportedly awarded second place out of all the entries. We believe it is a well-deserved spot, as it combines classic elements with modern flair.

The Montreal’s most distinctive features are the horizontal vents at the C-pillar and the grilles for the headlights on its long hood. It shouldn’t be difficult to incorporate the vents into an updated model, but it is not easy to integrate the grilles with modern headlight designs. This creation blends old and new in a wonderful way, according to us. The four-leaf clover is integrated into the driving lamps. This is a clever way to signify that this is a Quadrifoglio.

Does this mean that there are plans for the Montreal to be reborn? It’s unlikely that it will happen given the current world and the difficulties facing Alfa Romeo. We are left with such creations and the ability to use our imaginations to bring these to life.
