This will be the first time we have seen the new model in its entirety.
Acura had announced three months ago that its Integra lineup would be back. Following its announcement, released a series teaser images. These images showed a lot of the new model. However, we will get our first and best look at it next week in Los Angeles when Acura unveils the Integra Prototype. The unveiling is scheduled for Thursday, November 11th at 8:35 PM EST.
The company will follow the production model’s unveil path, but there were very few changes between the prototype and the production version. The Integra Prototype will likely follow the same pattern, and could be very similar to the production Civic.
The spy shots and teaser images suggest that the new Integra will share more than its platform with Honda’s model. The interior teaser image highlighted the manual gearbox and the center console . These look very similar to the Civic Hatchback’s interior. The spy photos really highlighted their similarities. There are some differences. The Integra has a distinctive front bumper and lower grille opening. Photos also showed the Acura with a more pointed front end.
Acura’s August announcement was huge news and many will be curious about the new Integra. There is evidence that the new Civic will have a lot in common with it, but we expect Acura’s to bring its own unique twist to the formula to make it stand out from its Honda brother. Next week, we’ll be able to see the new Integra and learn more about what makes it unique. We will also be able to see the interior. For more information, tune in to the livestream next Wednesday.
