It is fully equipped and available for sale.
In recent years, we’ve seen many custom campers as well as interesting motorhomes. This is due to the revival of # vanlife which now also extends into the realm overlanding. This is the purpose of this 2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 Land Rover Discovery 2. It sports a huge pickup-esque camper shell. The Disco is an SUV! This is why we call it pickup-esque. The topper is clearly custom and swaps seats for all of the home comforts. It is for sale. We’ll get to that in a moment.
Let’s get to the meat of it. The Land Rover listing is on Craigslist Denver. It’s full of details. All the amenities of home. Inside you’ll find a fridge, stove, sink, and a bathroom with a shower and cassette toilet. The Disco can hold 16 gallons fresh water and 5 gallons gray water. There is also ample storage space. It can be connected to shore power with a single house battery or 100 watts solar. It is impressive to have all of this in a Discovery-sized vehicle, even one with a raised roof.
The ad states that the Land Rover conversion took place in 2014. Given the fact that it required cutting the roof and back half to make it possible, it’s unlikely there will be a return to stock. The rest of the Discovery appears to be in excellent condition. The V8 is notoriously finicky, but it appears to have been well maintained. The mileage is just shy of 100,000, which is quite reasonable for a small RV capable of serious off-road capabilities.
