This will be the top-of-the-line roadster, even though there is no Z4 M.

The Z4 has finally arrived. The first set of spy photos was posted to Motor1.com on January 18, 2016. We then had to wait almost a year to see the concept on Pebble Beach. The production-ready model was finally unveiled by BMW at the same event, in sunny California.

There’s a lot of Z4-related content that is worth sharing now that embargoes are over. Case in point, Tim Burton a.k.a. “Shmee” was among the first to see the sleek roadster. This video shows the production-ready model in Frozen Gray. This car was photographed in Munich, Germany during studio filming before the Z4’s big debut.

BMW’s third-gen roadster will be featured in the M40i range-topping flavor, which will be available starting day one. This version will likely remain the best, despite excluding a full-fledged M model. It may not be surprising that the road-going model doesn’t look as impressive as last year’s showcar. However, we think it’s still quite impressive.

German Toyota Supra’s German counterpart is powered by a turbocharged inline-6 3.0-liter engine that produces 335 horsepower (250 megawatts). This output number is only valid for the European model. BMW will announce the technical specifications of the U.S.-spec car this September. According to two press releases, the Euro version will reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds. The North American version will take less than 4.4 seconds.

After seeing the BMW Z4, we are now waiting patiently for Toyota to bring back the Supra after many years of tease about the coupe.
