This is the muscle car that GM should make.

From 1967 to 2002 Pontiac made the now-defunct Firebird. The Firebird was a pony car, in the truest sense. It had a rear-wheel drive setup, six- or eight-cylinder engines, and a maximum of 330 horsepower (or 246 kilowatt) in the most powerful version. Unfortunately, the Firebird was discontinued after being on the market for 35 years. The Pontiac brand was also shut down shortly afterwards.

Designer Kasim Tefekov will help you imagine a modern Firebird. Tlibekov digitally imagined a Firebird in 2017. It is called the Pontiac Firebird TT Concept by Tlibekov – the TT designation most likely indicating a biturbo motor – and it looks very sinister.

The concept shares many similarities with the second-generation Firebird from the 1970s and 1980s, including the blacked out exterior, aftermarket wheels and wide-body kit. The attractive rectangular grille and split grille are the most prominent features. They pair well with the sloping rear and sharp side profiles of the Camaro.

Although the rear design is questionable, it includes retro cues such as a split taillight feature, and window louvers. This muscle car has a race-ready appearance thanks to the rear wing and huge diffuser. Although the designer did not give specific details about the powertrain, the new Firebird will likely use the same four, six, and eight-cylinder engines as the Chevy Camaro.
