Oettinger VW Golf R500 revealed

with 518 PS and a massive price tag

Oettinger unveiled the new Volkswagen Golf R500 at Worthersee.

The model has been described as a “super sport car” and is based on the golf R. It features an aggressive widebody kit, 20-inch ATS forged tires with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires, and an aggressive widebody.

The cabin continues to sport style with the installation of leather / Alcantara sports seats, Alcantara accents, and revised trim. A new gear knob was installed and orange contrast stitching was added to the model.

The 2.5-liter TFSI five cylinder engine, which is 2.5-liters in displacement, has undergone “extensive modifications.” Highlights include a new turbocharger and forged pistons, as well as an optimized ECU. A new air intake, a better cooling system, and a sports exhaust are also included. These modifications result in 518 PS (381kW) and 680 Nm (680 lb-ft). The all-wheel drive R500 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of more than 300 km/h (186 MPH).

Oettinger VW Golf R500 revealed

The company claims that they are working on versions with 600 PS (441 kW), 651 PS (478 kW), and 750 PS (551kW).

The R500 will be limited in production, and the price is expected to start around EUR150,000 ($171,187).
