A new logo design that is similar to technology.
It is said that first impressions are the best. When the Hummer name was finally taken under GM, three models were released to scratch an itch that was arguably better left unattended. Let’s be honest, the H1 was very close to the Humvee that we all loved. It was powerful, unapologetic, and brutish. Everything after that was a waste of time and poor marketing. No one wanted a truck with the same values, in a world that was more sensitive or aware. GMC just announced in early 2020 that the Hummer name would be returning to its roots, but this time it will be environmentally responsible.
We are one step closer to seeing the roads. Muscle cars & Trucks searched for the original file that contained the trademark of General Motors. It was filed to mark its new logo on the GMC Hummer EVO. The actual serial number for the “motor land vehicles” category is 88784232. This filing is not surprising and gives us a glimpse at the new Hummer logo. The old, stale logo design is gone. Instead, the logo has been simplified and modernized. It now looks forward-thinking, technology-oriented, hinting to its EV platform, and other features yet to be revealed.
GMC Hummer EV will come in two versions: a pickup truck or an SUV. It will also be compatible with GM’s BT1 EV platform. Fast charging at 800V with up to 350kW and a maximum range of 400 mi per charge is possible. The electric Hummer will officially debut on May 20, if all goes according to plan. It will then go on sale in fall 2021. It will have more than 1,000 horsepower, and it is expected to produce 11,500 pound-feet torque. This will allow it to reach 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds.
