We have received fresh images from our spy with the Renault Twingo GT set that will go on sale next year.
Renault has already confirmed that a hotter Twingo will soon be available. It will not sport the “RS” badge as it is not capable of matching the 133 PS (98 kW), output of the previous generation Twingo RS. It is likely that Renault will use “GT” as its moniker. The engine will have 110-120 PS (81-88 kW) and will be a turbocharged three-cylinder 0.9L TCe gasoline engine.
The Twingo GT will get a sportier suspension, larger alloy wheels and dual exhaust arrangements, as well as beefier brakes. Although Renaultsport is likely to install an EDC dual-clutch six speed gearbox, purists may prefer a manual.
The Renault Twingo GT is likely to be revealed next year. Brabus will also launch larger versions of the Smart ForTwo or ForFour duo.
