BFGoodrich launches 4.75-inch-tall off-road tires

It will help you scale mountains three times larger.

Both children and adults love RC cars. Although you don’t want your child to be able to wreck the car in a matter minutes, many adults love this hobby. Some companies offer great aftermarket parts for those who take their hobby seriously. BFGoodrich has teamed up with Pro-Line Racing, a company that is well-known for making RC parts and accessories. They have created a small off-road tire that looks like its real-world counterpart.

Pro-Line Racing was granted early access by BFGoodrich to its newly-launched Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires so that the RC accessory company could create the tire for smaller-scale off-roading adventures or rock climbing.

“The launch of both RC KM3 and KM3 full-size tires highlights BFGoodrich’s long history in developing off-road tire technology. Stephen Peters, brand director at BFGoodrich North America said that the KM3 will allow you to pursue your passion on any scale.

The RC-version KM3 tire has the same tread pattern and size as its full-size counterpart. This increases climbing traction. The RC tire has deep, self-cleaning, independent tread blocks and linear transverse flex zone that provide grip for tough obstacles.

The BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM3 RC tires are 4.75 inches high and 1.77 inches wide. These tires are designed to fit 1.9 inch RC crawler wheels. Pro-Line Racing’s G8 rock-crawling compound is used to make the tires. It balances wear resistance and traction.

It is always great to see automotive companies embrace the child in us all. If our RC rock crawler is equipped with BFGoodrich tires, will anyone notice? Although it’s unlikely, enthusiasts find the option to be authentic and makes the hobby more fun. These little details allow automotive enthusiasts to take their hobby to a smaller scale.
