Renault is working on a hotter version for the fourth-gen Clio, which will be positioned below the top-spec RS version.
Renault has big plans for the fourth generation Clio, which will get a more powerful version. It could be called the Gordini, or if it is similar to its predecessor, the GT moniker. This older model uses the same engine as Twingo RS: a 1.6-liter with 133 hp and 99 kW, mated to a manual transmission.
Renaultsport has engineered a 1.2-liter turbo TCe 16v turbo engine that should produce around 140 horsepower (104 kW) and a 6-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. The new version will be equipped with this engine. The Clio RS version will also be launched by the French automaker.
