The Launch Edition models now include five new colors in addition to red, white, and black.

It’s perhaps ironic that Toyota’s latest additions to its website feature new Supra information and begins with the curious sentence believe in the hype. We now know a little more about the Supra’s upcoming return. Toyota has outlined all available colors for the reborn sportscar, including three launch edition options. Eight shades will be available to first-year Supra owners.

Driver and were the first to inform us about the new color list. Although we don’t yet have a complete Supra configurator, we can get an idea of its exterior flavors. Absolute Zero White and Nocturnal Black are the three launch colors. Each car will get red-trimmed mirrors instead of all black. After the initial run, these three colors will be joined with Tungsten Silver and Turbulence Gray, Downshift Blues, Phantom Matte Gray and Nitro Yellow. According to Footnotes, these last two shades will be a little more expensive.

Super Supra:

All Launch Edition Supras start at $55,250. Premium models will cost $53,990, while the plain-old 3.0 models will cost $49,990. These figures do not include delivery and any other fees. You won’t be able get a Supra for less that $50,000 unless you negotiate a good deal. This assumes that there are no adjusted market prices from dealers, which is unlikely given the fact that buyers have waited a decade for this car.

No matter the trim level or color, buyers will receive a twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 335 horsepower (250kW) and driving the rear wheels via an eight-speed auto. Although it may not have the three-pedal powertrain Supra fans wanted, Toyota claims that it can reach 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.
