Hyundai officially unveiled the HCD-14 Genesis Concept at Detroit’s 2013 NAIAS.
After last week’s teaser, Hyundai has now officially unveiled the HCD-14 Genesis Concept.
This stunning concept shows a four door coupe silhouette and is a preview for the next-gen Genesis. The chassis is ultra-rigid and features high-tensile steel in strategic places. It also has a multi-mode power steering system that should improve the driver-centric experience. The concept rides on low profile tires and is powered by a 5.0-liter Tau V8 direct injection engine, which is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
It has a windshield head up display that sits above the steering wheel, which provides relevant information to the driver. It also features an interactive 3D gesture recognition and eye-tracking system that help the driver focus on the road. This improves safety and reduces distractions.
The HCD-14 has rear-hinged doors that allow for easy entry, which is not the case with four-door coupes.
