The electric crossover will be available for local delivery in the next year.
Two days ago, the Ford Mustang Mach–E was crowned the best-selling electric vehicle in the 2021 Motor1.com Star Awards. With its efficiency, practicality, and excellent value for money, the Blue oval’s electric crossover is an exceptional choice. This could be a boost as the Mach-E production has just begun in China.
Ford just delivered the first Mustang Mach-E assembly from Changan Ford’s Chongqing manufacturing plant. Ford expects to begin deliveries to Chinese customers of locally-built crossovers by the end of this year. Ford will sell Mach-Es through its growing network of electric vehicle city shops across the country. This should increase to 100 within five years.
China customers can now deposit money for the Mustang Mach-E RWD, RWD Premium (long-range), RWD Standard (standard range), or GT First Edition. If you sign the documents by the end of this year, you will receive a longer vehicle and battery warranty, new retail finance, replacement plan and a referral bonus. The GT First Edition is a limited edition, premium gift package that will only be available to those who have paid an extra amount.
The CLTC (China light-duty vehicles test cycle) measures that the Mustang Mach-E RWD can travel 619 km on a single charge. The GT model, which is more powerful, has a peak output power of 481 horsepower (359 Kilowatts) as well as 634 pound-feet (680 Newton meters) of torque. Acceleration time of 3.65 seconds is claimed for 0-62 miles per hours (0-100 km/h).
We tested the Mustang Mach E GT earlier in the month. Our Senior Editor Brett Evans discovered muscle car traces behind his wheel of this sporty EV crossover. It has “explosive acceleration”, a spacious interior and long-distance legs. There is also a slight understeer that disappears when you increase the throttle.
