Volkswagen Passat Alltrack unveiled (Europe)

The Passat Off-road model has a higher ride height and SUV styling.

Volkswagen has revealed the Passat Alltrack, ahead of its debut at Tokyo Motor Show.

The off-road-ready variant of the Passat is based on the euro-spec model. It features an elevated ride height and new bumpers in the SUV-style with flared wheel wells.

Two petrol and two diesel engines will be available for the Passat Alltrack. The 1.8 TSI, which has 160 PS (118 kW / 158 hp), and the 2.0 TSI, which has 210 PS (155 kW / 207 hp) are available on the petrol side. The 2.0 TDI has 140 PS (103 kW / 138 hp), and the 170PS (125 kW / 168 hp), 2.0 TDI.

Standard equipment will include a 4Motion all-wheel-drive and a DSG(dual-clutch), gearbox. Optionally, the 140 PS 2.0 TDI version will include 4Motion all wheel drive.

Fuel economy for the 140 PS 2.0 TDI variant will be 5.7 liters/100km, while it is 5.8 liters/100km for the 170 PS TDI.

The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack will make its debut at Tokyo Motor Show in December.
