Check out the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant, which hit 176 MPH on a Damp Autobahn

It won’t arrive soon enough.

It’s a pleasant sight to see a high-powered Audi rocket down Germany’s Autobahn, as cars move quickly to the left lane and the broad, angular front fascia from the 2021 RSS6 Avant fills the rearview mirrors. This is something we are a little jealous of as it’s not often seen on American highways. It does allow the Audi RS6 Avant, however, to move in a way that no American can legally. The super wagon cruises at well over 170 mph (273 km/h) in the rain.

The RS6 Avant is fast, however. Under the hood, there is an Twin-turbocharged hybridized 4.0-liter V8 produces 591 horsepower (441 kilowatts and 590 pound feet (800 Newton-meters of torque) Audi’s full-time Quattro all wheel-drive system delivers power to all four wheels. This allows the wagon to reach speeds of 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in just 3.6 seconds. Maximum speed is limited at 155 mph (250 km/h). The Dynamic Package allows you to reach speeds of 174 mph (280 km/h). The Dynamic Package Plus increases top speed to 190 mph (305 kph).

Audi RS6 Avant is likely to have the Dynamic Package Plus, as it can reach 176 mph (284 kph), which is just a little above the Dynamic Package’s maximum speed. After the driver releases the accelerator, the car moves into the right-hand lane and then quickly reverses to the left lane. This is a remarkable display of performance for a wagon that can haul five people and cargo. It has 20.0 cubic feet (565 Liters) of trunk space and 60.0 cubic feet (1.680 Liters) total interior volume.

This video shows us the driver’s view from above the car’s hood. The new interior can be seen with Audi’s latest version its virtual cockpit. Audi has not yet released pricing information for the Audi RS6 Avant. However, if you are a resident of the United States, budget in plenty of time as this type driving on American roads can result in a ticket. Or worse.
