The livestream will begin January 28th at 8:00 PM EST
Update – The livestream has ended, but you can still read our debut post to learn all about the GV80 as well as what’s new for the North American model.
Didn’t the new Genesis already appear? But that was only the South Korean version of the Genesis SUV. This model will be unveiled in Miami later today. It is intended for North America.
We don’t know the exact pricing or availability of the GV80, which would be a huge advantage in an SUV-hungry U.S. marketplace. Although we don’t know everything, this livestream should give us a rough idea of when it will arrive. We know that the GV80 will be available in South Korea at the end of January. Very For other areas, the general timeframe is summer 2020. We suspect Genesis executives are not aware of any other SUVs in the lineup. Very You are eager to purchase this vehicle.
We know that the GV80 will come in a two-row or three-row version, with rear- or all-wheel drive. The GV80 is packed with technology, including a complete suite of driver-assist system and some really high-end features such as an automatic air purification system. The sound-blocking system analyzes road noises and emits counterwaves to block them. However, it is not clear if all of this tech will be made available to U.S.-based models.
The 3.0-liter turbodiesel under the hood is likely not readily available for North American buyers. The turbodiesel engine produces 278 horsepower (207 Kilowatts) as well as 434 pound-feet (588 Newton meters) of torque for South Korea. However, Genesis will likely swap it out for a gasoline-powered unit. However, it is possible that diesel will remain an option.
These answers will be revealed at the GV80 U.S. unveil in Miami. Motor1.com is going to be there in person. We’ll also have the livestream here, starting at 8:00 PM Eastern/1:00 AM GMT (January 29).
