Jeep Wrangler pretends it's a Mountain Bike and fails miserably

You can’t travel everywhere in a jeep.

First, let’s get to the point. We are looking for any additional information about this lonely Jeep Wrangler perched on a cliff edge of destruction. We are keeping an eye on the situation and will update this story as soon as we have more information. Just know that there is a Wrangler somewhere east of Los Angeles. Or, rather, on top a rock in a very difficult-to-reach area.

We don’t have the full story, but we do not need it. Jun Castro posted a series of photos late yesterday evening to the Hemet News Facebook group. These photos clearly show the Wrangler late model high-centered on narrow trails. We can only wonder the same question that everyone else is asking. Was this the driver’s thought process? We know the exact thought process. “I have a Wrangler and can reach that peak… Oh crap, what was my thinking? ”

The Drive deserves kudos for finding the location of this four wheel-drive error. This is the trail that runs south of Loma Linda. It’s actually a series. These trails are not intended for vehicles. They are meant to be used as hiking trails. We suspect that this particular trail is well-used by mountain bikesrs, judging from the way it is bermed up on each side. Sometimes, Jeeps can carry mountain bikes… perhaps that’s what the driver was thinking. It’s unlikely.

The Facebook post cannot be embedded. However, you can view it below or at the source link. The screenshot below gives an idea of the danger, especially on the passenger side of the Wrangler. It isn’t so high-centered, but it hangs off the side of an very steep fall. This Jeep will not be able to be reversed or backed out slowly without the use of shovels, tires that have been aired down and plenty of people power. We don’t know what support vehicles would be able to assist.

We hope that this Wrangler’s tale has a happy end.
