Surprise! The Urus accounted almost 60% of all sales.

Bentley’s record-breaking sales for 2021 saw another VW Group brand, the VW Group high-end brand, be happy to announce that last year was its greatest ever. Lamborghini sold 8,405 cars, which is 13 percent more than in the previous year. This was due to strong Urus demand. With 5,021 units sold, the Super SUV was the best-selling product of Lamborghini. This is due to strong demand for the Urus. Side note: The mechanically related Bentayga was responsible for 40% of Crewe’s total sales.

The Huracan came in second place with 2,586 copies of the V10 supercar, while the defunct Aventador was able to find 798 new homes by 2021. For those who don’t know, Sant’Agata Bolognese released three products last year. They were the Huracan Super Trofeo Omnilogata (STO), Aventador Ultimatee and the Countach LPI 800-4, which was billed as an “unorthodox” icon.

Lamborghini saw double-digit growth in three markets in 2021. Sales in America and Asia Pacific grew 14 percent, while EMEA (Europe Middle East, Africa), saw a 12 percent increase. With 2,472 vehicles (+11%), the United States was its most favored market. China had 935 vehicles (+55%), Germany had 706 units (16%) and the United Kingdom had 564 (+9%). Deliveries in Italy increased by 3 percent to 359 vehicles.

Lamborghini already has enough orders to cover the entire production run for 2022. The exotic Italian brand will introduce four products in this time frame. The portfolio will expand to include a fourth vehicle model, with the introduction of an all-electric vehicle during the second half of the next decade.

After an investment of over EUR1.5 billion (roughly $1.7B at current exchange rate), all three product lines will be merged by 2024. Lamborghini will see a halving of its CO 2 emissions by 2025 thanks to the inevitable adoption electrification. The EV is rumored as a two door gran tourer with four-seat. However, nothing is confirmed.
