Seven new videos also highlight the xDrive30i/M40d versions.

When you think about coupe-SUVs, or whatever they are called, the HTML6 is the most common. This was because BMW started the trend around a decade ago with its original E71 model. The Bavarians now sell a second-generation of the X6 and also have a smaller X2 and an X4 for those who want a premium coupe-inspired SUV that is easier on the pocket.

G02, the new-for-2019 X4 was revealed at the beginning March. The company now has an extended photo gallery as well as a plethora videos to celebrate the First Drive event. These images focus on the xDrive30i/m40d high-end SAVs.

BMW could have said that they were in a rush to release a new X4 given the fact that the first-gen model was released only four years ago. The same story applies to the X5: it too had a short lifecycle before being updated for the 2019 model year. This is a clear indication that the premium German automaker wants the SUV market to be competitive. Instead of undergoing a mid-cycle refresh, they decided to move straight to the next generation.

BMW released a video a while back to illustrate the stylistic differences between the two X4s. To give it a sportier appearance, the 2019 model has a 3 inch (76.2 millimeters), 1.4 inch (35.6 mm), longer footprint. The ride height has been decreased by 0.1 inches (2.54mm). To give more legroom, rear passengers will appreciate the 2.1 inch (53.3mm) increase in wheelbase. Although the overall shape might seem similar, BMW did its magic in the wind tunnel and reduced the aerodynamic drag by 10%.

The U.S. sales will begin this month, with prices starting at $50.450 for the 30i, and $60.450 for M40i. Diesel we mentioned previously will not be available in the USA. The family will also get a new range-topper with the debut of the X4 M.
