Chevy plans to test the new SS against its ZL1 sibling.
The ZL1 appears to be identical to the one on the market (see the comparison above), suggesting that it might be used as a benchmark for the new SS. Engineers would be able to easily compare the differences between the less powerful version and the more powerful sibling if they had them both on the road.
The 2019 Camaro will arrive later in the year with an updated exterior. Depending on the trim, it includes new LED headlights and tweaks to grille including the Flowtie and heat extractors at the center of the hood. These changes give the pony car a more aggressive appearance than its predecessor.
Chevy’s V8 now comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It also has performance-oriented features such as launch control and line locking. There is still the six-speed manual. The 1LE trim is available with the 275-horsepower (205-kilowatt) turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It also has 295 pound-feet (395 Newton-meters) Package includes an upgraded suspension, Track, Competition Mode settings, launch control, shift lights, and launch control.
The 2019 Camaro comes with Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system, which has better graphics and enhanced Bluetooth connectivity. A standard rear camera is included in ZL1 and 2SS trims.
The 2019 Camaro is still in development, but pricing details are not yet available. Updated models will arrive before 2018.
