Juan Carlos I, King of Spain, received a new Audi RS6. Photos and more details are included.
According to a book published last summer, King Juan Carlos I of Spain is a car enthusiast and has 65 employees who tend to his 71 vehicles. That’s 72 vehicles.
Photos taken by Diariomotor depict the King’s most recent acquisition, the Audi RS6. This car joins a fleet which also includes a 1959 Rolls Royce Phantom IV and a Maybach. His first car, a Mini, is also included. The King had previously owned a Porsche 959, which he crashed onto an icy road in Pyrenees near the end of 1990.
German car manufacturer Audi likely gave the Royal’s Audi RS6 to him. The car is finished in black with the Audi logo and dark graphite five-spoke wheels. It is powered by a 5.0-liter TFSI engine that produces 572 horsepower and 480 ft.lb of torque. The engine of the RS6 can be mated with a six speed Tiptronic transmission. Power goes to all four wheels. Audi’s saloon is capable of a 0-100 km/h sprint of 4.5 seconds, and has an electronically-limited top speed of either 250 km/h or 280 km/h.
Monarchical upgrades include front-mounted emergency lamps, a special license plate reserved for royalty and flag-holders over the front wheels.
