An unidentified, heavily camouflaged Ford Taurus prototype was spotted in China during testing.
An extremely camouflaged prototype for the 2016 Ford Taurus was spotted during testing in China.
Although it’s been quite some time since we last heard anything about the next Ford Taurus, Chinese spy photographers captured camouflaged prototype testing. It looks like an oversized Fusion/Mondeo, which is not surprising considering Ford’s latest designs that share the Aston Martin-ish front grille.
The new Taurus will likely use the Fusion platform, but it will be stretched out and widened to fit a full-size sedan. This will allow for significantly more interior space than its smaller sibling. The Taurus SHO, for example, weighs in at 2,020 kg (44,55 lbs).
The new Ford Taurus will likely be powered by a variety of EcoBoost engines. It is expected that it will hit the market in third quarter 2016.
