The 8 Series seems like a great way to enjoy a thrilling ride in style.

The new BMW 8 Series won’t be available in Europe until November, while Americans will have to wait until December. BMW took the grand tourer to Goodwood Festival of Speed to give potential buyers a first look. The company also made a video showing the machine to anyone who wasn’t able to attend.

A 4.4-liter biturbo engine producing 523 horsepower (390 Kilowatts) as well as 553 pound-feet (775 Newton-meters) will also be available. The power will be transferred to the roads by an eight-speed automatic gearbox as well as an all-wheel drive system. This setup will take the coupe from 62 to 100 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds to a maximum speed of 155 to 250 km/h (155 to 250 mph). Standard adaptive dampers will be available on the 8 Series, as well as LED headlights that incorporate BMW’s LaserLight technology.

This video shows the 8 Series with a variety of options such as the carbon fiber roof. The carbon package covers parts of the bumpers and diffuser blades as well as the exhaust trim and mirror caps.

The exterior looks sporty, but the interior is a mix of luxury and technology. The standard features include a head-up screen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch infotainment display. Merino leather upholstery is available and the Harman Kardon stereo system with 16 speakers is also included. You can also upgrade to an advanced driver assistance system, glass trim and a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System.

Europeans can also choose the 840dxDrive, which will include many of these amenities and replace the gas-powered V8 with a 3.0-liter biturbo-inline-six that produces 315 horsepower (235 kW) as well as 502 lbft (680 Nm), of torque.
