Ford Assembles The New 2019 Focus In Germany

For the new Focus in Europe, order books are available.

Customers from most European countries can now order the brand-new 2019 Ford Focus starting at EUR18,000. Prices for the Trend trim in Germany are approximately $23,000 at current exchange rates. The delivery of the Blue oval vehicle is scheduled to begin in September. It was also just launched production at the Saarlouis plant, Germany, of the Trend trim. This equates to approximately $23,000 at the current exchange rates.

Ford believes the Saarlouis plant is among the most efficient in the world. According to Ford, some of the latest production technologies are being used in the automotive industry for the first times. This includes a hot-forming facility that produces high-strength, ultra-light steel components and an automated unloading process. The steel plates are heated using gas and magnetic induction up to 1,706 degrees F (930 degrees Celsius). They then go under a 1,250-ton pressure.

Ford Assembles The New 2019 Focus In Germany

Gunnar Herrmann (chairman of Ford of Europe’s board of management) comments that Saarlouis remains one of the most productive and efficient car factories in the globe. We continue to invest in this plant in order to keep it that way. We spent approximately 600 million euros ($708 millions) to create the new Ford Focus.

The new Focus will go through three stages of assembly, with approximately 1,400 pieces expected to be on the assembly lines each day. This is almost all the factory’s production capacity, which also houses the Euro-spec C-Max. The Saarlouis plant produced nearly six million copies of the global Focus model since 1998’s launch. Around 85 percent of these were exported to other markets.
