Ford Transit SSV unveiled

The SSV was designed to be the ultimate van. It is powered by a five-cylinder diesel engine with a 3.2-liter capacity. This produces 200 PS (147kW/197hp) and 470 Nm (347lb-ft).

Ford’s Transit SuperSportVan (SSV), has been unveiled ahead of its debut at Birmingham’s Commercial Vehicle Show.

The SSV was designed to be the ultimate van. It is based on a short-wheelbase model 260 and has “Le Mans-style Bonnet Stripes”, a dual exhaust system and an aerodynamic bodykit. Although performance specs have not been released, the 3.2-liter five cylinder diesel engine produces 200 PS (147kW/197 hp) as well as 470 Nm (347lb-ft).

Ford will display the TransitConnect Electric, which will be available in the United Kingdom starting in June. The van’s 28-kWh lithium-ion battery allows it to travel 130km (80 miles) in one charge.
