Audi’s new A4 allroad was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. It features their legendary Quattro all wheel drive system, rugged styling and higher ground clearance.
Exterior styling of the new A4 allroad is heavily influenced from its larger brother, A6 allroad. Flared wheel arches, angular and stainless-steel underbody protections, and the company’s signature single-frame grille are just a few of the all-terrain styling cues that have been transferred to the smaller model. Chrome trim around the front fog lamps, standard 17-inch wheels and LED daytime running light, as well as a roof rack, are other exterior design features.
Two petrol engines and one diesel engine are available as the initial power options. All three have forced induction or direct-injection. The 2.0-liter TFSI engine from Audi is the motivation for the petrol engine. It produces 155 kW (211 BHP) and 350 Nm. The engine’s performance figures include a time of 6.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h, a top speed at 230 km/h (143 MPH), and an average fuel consumption rate of 8.1L/100 km (29 MPG)
A 2.0-liter TDI engine produces 125 kW (170 bhp), 350 Nm of torque, and a 3.0-liter TDI v6 engine generates 176 kW (240 bhp), and 500 Nm. The 2.0 TDI allows the A4 allroad to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds. It can also reach a maximum speed of 213 km/h (132 mph), consumes 6.4 L/100 km (36.8 mpg) and has a top speed at 213 km/h (170 bhp). To reach 100 km/h at the top of the range, the 3.0 TDI takes 6.4 second and averages 7.1L/100km (33.0 mpg).
Audi modified the A4 Avant standard by increasing its track by 20mm, adding off-road detection technology, which alters the stability program to increase wheel spin and increasing the ground clearance. The A6 allroad’s adaptive suspension, which can be manually adjusted to increase the ride height, is the biggest problem the new A4 allroad has.
The wagon’s interior features Audi’s A4 interior, which combines modern design and high-quality materials. The wagon has 490 liters (7.3 cubic feet) of storage space, but this increases to 1,430 Liters (50.5 cubic feet), when the rear seats can be folded down. Two-piece panoramic glass roof, three zone climate control, and a Bang & Olufsen sound, adaptive cruise control, and MMI navigation system are optional equipment.
The Audi A4 allroad will be arriving in dealerships this summer at a starting price of EUR37,000.
