Gran Turismo Sport vs Forza Motorsport 7

Gran Turismo brings Forza wheel-to-wheel

The rivalry between PlayStation 2 and Xbox is very similar to the one between top football teams. Each studio spends years honing their craft while fans support them passionately. Gran Turismo Sport, Forza Motorsport 7, and Gran Turismo Sport are the best four-wheeled entertainment available on each console. Which is the best? We could spend weeks deconstructing every shadow, every polygon and all the gigabits that make these games. We have divided each contender into four categories to make it easier for you to understand. Graphics, tracks and graphics, gameplay, and the final verdict.

Gran Turismo Sport as well As Forza Motorsport 7 are stunning. The cars feature stars in anorak detail. The models match their real-life counterparts perfectly and there is no dust cap missing. Forza 7 runs at 60 frames per seconds in stunning 4K. It’s quite an achievement, from the mountains of Switzerland to Silverstone’s tire walls. Although it took seven years before Forza fans got dynamic weather, it was well worth the wait. The cars and tracks look stunning when they are soaked in sunlight that reflects off water droplets.

Gran Turismo has been covering weather for quite some time now. As you might expect it does it very well. The 4K lighting is almost as realistic as Forza’s glossy magazine pages. This has been achieved through experience and time. GT has an advantage in regards to foliage, such as people in crowds or trees. The tides change when it comes to the textures that make up this virtual universe. This is where Forza stands out. Realistic things like grass, asphalt, and rumble stripes are easier to imagine.

Both games are stunning graphically. However, the constant punch and counter punch fight between these two games is resolved when you look at the cars through a magnifying lens. Both games have very detailed models, but GT Sport has gone to great lengths to create the most realistic virtual cars. Forza’s lack of detail in seemingly small details such as windscreen washer jets is evident when you zoom in. Gran Turismo allows you to see the small components that make up the jets in FM7. Gran Turismo Sports is the clear winner in this round.
Gran Turismo Sport vs Forza Motorsport 7

Cars and tracks

Gran Turismo Sport may have the most detailed cars but has fewer than Forza Motorsport 7. Over 700 for Forza vs 162 in Gran Turismo. This is a very low number of cars for GT, even by their own standards. Gran Turismo 6 had over 1000 models and variations.

Forza’s wide range of cars is the final nail in GT Sport’s coffin. Forza 7 has everything, from racing trucks to F1 legends, while GT Sport offers a more modest selection of racing cars and select road models. The same goes for the tracks. Gran Turismo has 17 tracks, while Forza has 30. Forza Motorsport has attracted many gamers over the years. Everyone can have a seat at Forza’s table, from the novice sitting on their couch to the experienced gamer with the most recent gaming rig. You can adjust the game to simulate bumper cars or a WEC endurance race. Gran Turismo is more focused on hardcore enthusiasts. Gran Turismo offers a variety of driving aids, but you’re largely on your own. GT is the perfect platform for people who are just looking for a simulator. Gran Turismo’s track record has proven that it can turn its best players into real race drivers.

It all comes down to personal preference. Gran Turismo is the right choice if you enjoy spending hours perfecting your Silverstone lap. Forza’s serious racing is mixed with Top Gear-style stunts that can be quite amusing. FM7 offers a structured single-player experience that allows for clear progression through the ranks. Forza Motorsport 7 is better overall in terms of entertainment and longevity. Each game has its strengths and its unique USP. Forza Motorsport 7 is a destination car enthusiasts will love, regardless of their skill level. Gran Turismo Sport boasts one of the best simulations of driving.

FM7 ultimately wins. Why? Because there’s more of it. Gran Turismo Sport preorders were cancelled by people we know who did not want to be disappointed when the content list was released. GT is expected to bring fewer cars and tracks, as the majority of the game was built from scratch. We’d prefer the game to be more complete than “diet” Gran Turismo. GT Sport is impressive, especially when used with a VR headset. However, Forza 7 is more comprehensive.
