Do you want a diesel-powered SUV for your family? This is the best time to get one.

Although the Mazda CX-5 diesel was introduced less than one year ago (during 2019 New York Auto Show), its price was very high. The model, which cost $41,000 plus the destination fee, was only available in Signature AWD. It was also more than $4,000 less than comparable gasoline-powered models. Today, however you can get a new diesel-powered in the United States starting at $32,000.

This is possible because of new incentives offered by some Mazda dealers across the country. According to CarsDirect, leaked ordering guides show that dealers in Maryland, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin offer discounts of up to $9,000 to close to $10,000. A dealer in Dublin, California offers a 10% discount, bringing the price down from $32,045 to the most affordable.

The dealers are currently selling the 2019 model year cars they have in stock. The CX-5 Diesel’s future is unknown, despite the fact the 2020 CX-5 was released in November 2017.
