Shinari is the name of the concept. It reveals both the new front design and overall design language for future Mazda vehicles.
Mazda’s new styling concept, “Kodo”, was inspired by the Nagare style theme. It is the Japanese word for soul of motion.
Ikuo Maeda (general manager of Mazda Motor Corp.’s design division) vaguely answered that the new design language would begin to appear on the new Mazda models when asked.
The Kodo design language was developed in collaboration between Mazda’s design studios from Japan, the U.S., and Germany.
