It’s also an easy car to drive on St. Patrick’s Day.
You can check your calendar, St. Patrick’s Day (not to forget the new Avengers movie) is almost here. This means that the inevitable influx in green everything has started. The Motor1.com office loves to see a fast car exterior, so we don’t mind U.S. paper money and colored beer. The Ford folks might feel the same, since the automaker chose this moment to announce a new color of the 2019 Mustang. Can you guess the shade? Ok, who said pink! You can have green beer now.
Ford specifically calls it Need for Green. It’s very yellow. This bright color is quite a contrast to Ford’s other noteworthy green Mustang, the Bullitt in Dark Highland Green (pictured below). Although Mustangs aren’t usually known for their saucy colors like a Porsche 911 GT3RS, the black center stripe makes this car – dare I say it – a little green with envy.
“This color Mustang fans will love because of its confident, youthful attitude,” stated Barbara Whalen (Ford color and materials manager). Mustang owners will love Need for Green because it is bright and stands out from the crowd.
We don’t know how much green is a sign of confidence, unless you’re the Hulk. It is certainly a striking shade that attracts attention. It’s not green enough to attract greenbacks from buyers, though. Ford has not yet mentioned any additional cost for this special shade. However, we believe there will be a slight premium to meet your green-loving needs. The new Mustang color will be available for purchase this summer, and we’ll find out more information later in the year.
