Nurburgring raises track fees

A single lap around the Nurburgring-Nordschleife will now cost you $32 (EUR24). You can also purchase a season pass for $1,800 (EUR1,346).

The 2011 season will see an increase in track fees at the Nurburgring circuit, Germany.

It may surprise some that the Nurburgring is free to the public. The track is also known as the Nordschleife (or Green Hell) and measures 25.378 km/15.77 mi in length.

This is an increase from the $29 per lap (EUR222) this year.

The Nurburgring track can be used by anyone, provided it isn’t reserved for testing or other races. For those who need a rush, but aren’t confident in their abilities, there’s a Ring taxi.

You get four laps for $119 (EUR89), and you also get a meal ticket to the restaurant on-site and free admission to the Ring Werk Museum.

You can get a 15-lap package for $415 (EUR310), while 25 laps will run you $629 (EUR470).

Season passes are available for $1,800 (EUR1,346)
