Porsche Cayenne Facelift – Weird Taillights

Porsche Cayenne Facelift - Weird Taillights
This is obviously not how the production clusters will appear.

The new generation Porsche Cayenne model is relatively new, having been introduced in September 2017. Porsche keeps its products updated and the SUV’s current generation is no exception. A facelift is expected to be in the next 12 months. Our spy photographers captured a camouflaged prototype for the refreshed Cayenne.

We can see that there will be some visual changes. The headlights at the front appear slimmer, and the internal arrangement of projector lenses could have been changed. Although the camouflage tape does not allow us to see the details of the new design, the front bumper appears to have been revised.

There are visible changes at the back. This prototype has temporary taillights. It will be interesting to see if there will be an LED strip connecting the units on the two sides. It is worth noting that the registration plate was moved from the tailgate onto the slightly reshaped rear bumper. The cabin will see important changes, with the Cayenne’s center console being redesigned. The new infotainment screen is much more user-friendly than the old one. The Porsche 911 (992) inspired design for the gear shifter has been updated with a more sleek and minimalistic look. During a test session at Nurburgring, our spy team was also able to spot the prototype Cayenne. The SUV is very composed in corners, with minimal body roll and neutral behavior. These spy shots show that the Cayenne will get more than a minor facelift. There are also significant tech and visual upgrades planned. We’re eager to find out more about the Cayenne and expect to see it in all its glory next year.
