Renault has revealed that the Twizy will retail at EUR6,990 and go on sale in May.
Although it sounds good, the entry-level model has only a 5 HP (4 kW/ 5 PS) motor and a top speed 45 km/h (28 MPH). The battery is not included in the price and must be leased at EUR45 per month.
The mainstream model is priced at EUR7.690 with a EUR49/month lease and comes standard with a 17 HP (13 kW/17 PS) electric motor, which allows it to reach speeds of 80 km/h (50 MPH).
No matter which variant you choose, the Twizy can travel 100km (62 miles) per single charge. It can be fully charged in 3.5 hours after the battery has been used up.
