Subaru has unveiled the Impreza Sedan concept.
The concept was created to show off the next-generation model and adopts Dynamic x solid design language. The car’s exterior is more elegant and stylish than the previous model.
The front features include a hexagonal grille, flanked by slim hawk-eye headlights as well as LED fog lights. This concept features a Ruby Red Metallic exterior and gloss black accents. It also comes with 19-inch alloy wheels.
As the A-pillar is recessed, there are muscular wheel arches, strong character lines and a lot of metallic trim. A dynamic greenhouse is visible from the side, as well as a coupe-like roofline and a small rear trunk with an integrated spoiler.
The overall dimensions of the model are 179.3 inches long by 70 inches wide and 57.2 inches high, with a 105.1 inch wheelbase. This allows for a spacious cabin that can comfortably seat five people.
It is not clear how much this will carry over to the production version. However, the next Impreza will be riding on a new modular platform. Production is scheduled for late 2016. The car will be equipped with a new generation of fuel-efficient engines, which are expected to include cylinder deactivation technology.
